Manchester United’s number-one shot-stopper, Andre Onana has spoken about his poor form for the Red Devils this season.
The Cameroonian was speaking in an interview ahead of their opening UEFA Champions League group game against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Andre Onana was asked about his feelings about having conceded 10 goals in the Premier League.
Onana interjected the reporter before he was done with the question.
“Listen. Listen. We are in this together. We win together, we lose together. Clean sheet is for all of us. So when we concede goals the responsibility is Andre Onana. My teammates are working hard. And if they have to point finger, they have to point it at me because I’m the goalkeeper.”
He was also asked about what he thinks will be the outcome of the game against Bayern Munich.
“I can’t guarantee that we will win, but I can guarantee that we will die on the pitch and for our shirt and give everything we have.”
Manchester United will look to start their quest to win the tournament for the first time since 2008 on a good note when they face the Bavarians.
