In This Moment announces new album, god mode, arriving on October 27. The group also plans a U.S. tour with Ice Nine Kills in the fall of 2023, sharing the single “The Purge.”
Dates begin November 3rd in Gary, Indiana and run through December 2nd in Wheeling, West Virginia. Avatar and New Year’s Day will provide support.

god mode will mark ITM’s first new album since 2020 Mother. The LP’s first trailer, “The Purge,” showcases the range of heavy metal styles present in ITM’s music, from pulsating industrial textures to unabashed nu-metal tropes. Singer Maria Brink’s performance is especially notable.
“This song is from our time of lockdown,” says guitarist Chris Haworth. “During the pandemic, we all have our own personal experience, we all see the social unrest that happens every day breaks our hearts, it was a crazy time. Our band, like other bands, also stalled. During the block I sent [singer] maria [Brink] A musical idea I was working on, and this one really resonated with her. She even said “this will be our first single”. Fast-forward a few years, and all the pent-up frustration and anxiety poured out in Mariah’s lyrics and performance to create this wildly heartfelt song. “
The 10-track album was recorded at Hideout Studios in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was produced by Kane Churko (Ozzy Osbourne, Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch) and Tyler Bates (John Wick, Jerry Cantrell, Bush) .
