Manchester City have confirmed the exit of one of its defenders, Aymeric Laporte to Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr.
The Spaniard completed a move of £25 million to Al-Nassr, he joins Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane at the club, he signed a four-year deal which will keep him at the club until 2026. The exit of the player was confirmed on the website of both clubs on Thursday, August 24, 2023.
Aymeric Laporte joined the Cityzens from Athletic Bilbao during the January transfer window of 2018. The defender was a key figure in Manchester City’s 2018/19 campaign which saw them lift four domestic trophies playing 51 times across all competitions.
He suffered a knee surgery which ruled him out of the 2022/23 Premier League and, upon his return, he could not break into the first team. He was also in the squad for the 2023 UEFA Super Cup.
