A Nigerian artist recently found himself blocked on Twitter by singer Ayra Starr after dedicating nearly 19 hours to create a stunning hand-drawn portrait of the star.
The artist, Dami Foreign, spent over 18 hours using just a blue pen to produce an incredibly detailed and lifelike drawing of Ayra Starr. He posted the final work to Twitter, noting the exact time of 18 hours and 57 seconds it took to complete the artistic tribute.
Initially, it seemed Dami’s hard work had paid off, however, just moments later, Dami realized the singer had inexplicably blocked him on Twitter, cutting off communication.
Understandably shocked and confused by this reaction after investing so much of his time and effort, Dami responded with a tweet reading:
“Is this the motherf**king thanks I get?”
Ayra Starr herself has not provided any explanation for her actions as of yet. But the dramatic saga has certainly gained attention, with many sympathizing with Ekong for having his artistic gift rewarded with rejection. The artist likely just intended to pay tribute to the rising star, making the block seem like salt in the wound.
