If you’re into angular post punk, bands with ironic, detached song names, or anyone on the Matador Records roster, rising London three-piece bar italia may be for you. The band has announced that The Twits, its second LP of the year, will be out November 3rd, and shared the record’s first single, “my little tony.”
Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi, and Sam Fenton recorded the second bar italia album in a makeshift studio in Mallorca, Spain earlier this year, tapping Marta Salogni to mix the project. While their debut, May’s Tracey Denim, relished in mid-tempo soundscapes and abstract, nearly spoken-word vocals, “my little tony” picks up the pace a bit, with fuzzed out bass delivering a classic indie rock head bobber.
