MAKAYA MCCRAVEN
Modern jazz great Makaya McCraven has a number of shows coming up, including one at Brooklyn’s Pioneer Works on December 1 with his International Anthem labelmate Resavoir. All dates and tickets here.
CORINNE BAILEY RAE
Having just released her fourth album, Corinne Bailey Rae is on tour in North America currently and will be back in early 2024, including a four-night, eight-show run at NYC’s Blue Note.
ALISON ROMAN
Former NY Times food writer, cookbook author, dill lover and YouTuber Alison Roman will be promoting her new book Sweet Enough with a tour that hits Austin, Nashville, Minneapolis, Toronto, MOntreal, and Boston in November. “Can’t wait to talk about making books, making desserts and of course, living, laughing, loving,” says Alison. “Most of all, I can’t wait to use a microphone again.”
BELL WITCH
Seattle doom practitioners Bell Witch will be out supporting their new album Future’s Shadow Part 1: The Clandestine Gate starting October 11, and have just added West Coast dates happening in December with Otay:Onii, including Oakland, San Diego, Joshua Tree, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle and more. The band’s dates with Spirit Possession hit NYC on 10/27 at Le Poisson Rouge. All dates are here, and you can get a taste of the band’s live visuals by Bobby Cochran:
MODEL/ACTRIZ
Model Atriz are on tour for most of the rest of 2023, including dates with The Armed and Interpol. They’ve also just announced their annual NYC Chrismukkah show.
PC MUSIC
PC Music are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, and there are now three NYC shows (including one on a boat) and two in LA.
PAIN OF TRUTH
Long Island hardcore band Pain of Truth added a Brooklyn show to their upcoming record release tour, playing The Meadows on November 1 with Age of Apocalypse, Life’s Question, Vomit Forth and Heads Will Roll.
