BIG FREEDIA / HAIKU HANDS
Big Freedia will be decking the halls and jingling balls on the Christmas in Central City Tour that has her out with Haiku Hands and “some very special guests to be announced.” Dates include NYC’s Brooklyn Bowl on December 8 and Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall on December 9. One dollar from every ticket sold will go to to The Ally Coalition’s work to support homeless and at-risk LGBTQIA+ youth.
PEEZY
Detroit rapper Peezy will be on tour for his new album GHETTO in early 2024 including a NYC show at Market Hotel on February 7. All dates are here, and you can check out his new video for “Intro”:
GLASSJAW
As their logo reminds you, Glassjaw formed in 1993, and the Long Island post-hardcore heroes will be celebrating their 30th anniversary with some shows around the holidays in Santa Ana, LA, Chicago, and NYC.
LIFE OF AGONY
Life of Agony have been on tour throughout the year celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut album, River Runs Red, and they’ve extended the dates into 2024 with what they say are their last East Coast anniversary shows.
VIDEO AGE
Video Age’s new album Away From The Castle comes out next week (October 27 via Winspear), and their sophisti-pop revival sounds as smooth as ever on new single “Is It Really Over?.” They also announced a tour that has them back in NYC on March 9 at TV Eye, following their sold-out show at The Broadway on 11/11.

June McDoom has announced her first-ever headlining tour this fall, with US shows in November, December, and January.
NELS CLINE’S CONSENTRIK QUARTET
Wilco guitarist Nels Cline will be taking his Consentrik Quartet — Ingrid Laubrock (tenor & soprano saxophones), Chris Lightcap (acoustic bass), and Tom Rainey (drums) — on tour in February, 2024 with stops in NYC (Le Poisson Rouge on 2/8), Philly and Marlboro, NY.
FROST CHILDREN
Hyperpop duo Frost Children added a headlining NYC show during their tour supporting Dorian Electra, on February 2 at Elsewhere Hall, with OLTH and Jeffrey Lewis. See all of their upcoming dates here. They’ve also shared a new single from their upcoming album Hearth Room, “Stare At The Sun”:
FRANÇOIS J. BONNET (KASSEL JAEGER) & STEPHEN O’MALLEY [SUN O)))]
Kassel Jaeger’s François J. Bonnet and Sun O)))’s Stephen O’Malley have been collaborating since 2018 and the fruits of that will be released as Cylene II on November 10 via Drag-City. They’re also playing a few select shows in December in Chicago, Philly, Brooklyn (Pioneer Works on 12/13 with Kali Malone & Drew McDowall), San Francisco and L.A.
ULRIKA SPACEK / HOLY WAVE
UK band Ulrika Spacek are on their first US tour in five years in support of their great new album Compact Trauma, a trek that has them out with Austin’s Holy Wave. Don’t miss this rare chance to see Ulrika Spacek, who are great live. The tour hits Brooklyn on Sunday (10/22) at Baby’s All Right.
KILL LINCOLN / BIG D AND THE KIDS TABLE / BEST OF THE WORST
Ska-punk bands Kill Lincoln, Big D and the Kids Table, and The Best of the Worst, and punk band Hell Beach (who are on ska label Bad Time Records’ punk imprint Uncle Style) are playing two all ages shows in early January, one at Asbury Park’s House of Independents on 1/12 and one at DC’s Black Cat on 1/13. Tickets go on sale Friday (10/20).
MSPAINT OPENING FOR BEACH FOSSILS / TURNOVER
Synthpunk maniacs MSPAINT are having a really big, busy year, and now that includes opening part of the Beach Fossils/Turnover tour, including the show on November 30 at Knockdown Center in Queens.
LO MOON PIANOS RESIDENCY (1 SHOW W/ BARTEES STRANGE)
Lo Moon have announced a three-show run at NYC club Pianos on October 25-27. (Shades of 2008!) The 10/25 & 10/27 shows are with Akira Galaxy, while 10/26 is with Bartees Strange. Tickets are on sale.
HORSEGIRL
Horsegirl are playing a one-off show at Stone Circle Theatre at Ridgewood Presbyterian Church on November 9 with Autobahn, and Gluepot. It’s currently their only scheduled show.
BODEGA
Brooklyn band Bodega will close out 2024 with a hometown show at TV Eye on December 6 where they will also be testing out some new songs.
