explosion in the sky announced end, their first new album in seven years. The album will be released on September 15th through Temporary Residence Ltd. As a preview, the band shared their first single, “Ten Billion People.”
“Our starting point was the idea of an end—death, or the end of a friendship or relationship,” EITS said in a statement. “Each song comes from a story, or thought of one of us, and we all expand upon it. And created our own world. Maybe it’s in our nature, but we’ve always felt that album titles can ultimately mean more – the end of an event or period of time can mean a stop, but it can also mean a beginning, And what happens when an event is over can be overshadowed by what follows.”
Starting in September, EITS will take this album on an extensive tour in 26 cities. Tickets are currently available for purchase here.
