We all go through periods of skin irritation – we are all human. Whether due to hormonal reasons or due to external factors; stress, pollution or even overuse of products. Personally, I deal with hormonal skin and it’s really frustrating. I look back and laugh at some of the hilarious home remedies I’ve tried, like toothpaste, strong acids, and failing that, going into attack mode and scratching the skin – we’ve all been there. !
But after trying and testing a range of products, I finally found one that worked for me and wanted to share some of my knowledge. What I think really works is going back to the basics – drink plenty of water and keep skin care simple. We all feel the odd amount of stress when we don’t follow our 10-step skincare routine day and night, but sometimes less is more. I only start adding steps to my routine when I need to address issues such as acne, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, peeling skin, or severe dryness or oiliness.
