Maryland pop punks Braceface recently released their new LP Don’t Lose Your Dinosaur on ska-punk label Bad Time Records’ new punk imprint Uncle Style Records, and if you’re into the witty, unpolished pop punk of early Lookout! Records and The Ergs! and stuff like that, you should definitely check this out. You can stream the LP below, and we’re also now premiering the new video for one of its most anthemic tracks, “I Don’t Wanna Leave My Room.”
“This song focuses on the struggles of balancing your mental health and a soul draining job in the age of social media,” singer David Delarosa says. “The world’s a mean place and it’s easy to get dragged down by our daily lives and everything we see on social media. We all deserve a safe space where we can exist and be ourselves – whether that’s a room or surrounded by a positive supportive community!”
The video plays off the song’s themes in a funny, lighthearted way, and it ends with the band playing a basement show–silly string included. Check it out below.
Braceface play a hometown show this Sunday (10/8), The Fest in Gainesville, and another hometown show opening for Lookout! vets Pansy Division on 11/17.
