Bruce Springsteen postpones Philly shows due to illness

Bruce Springsteen & The E Strret‘s tour was set to continue tonight (8/16) at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park for the first of two shows (the second was scheduled for Friday, 8/18), but both have been postponed due to illness, hours before Bruce was set to take the stage.

“Due to Bruce Springsteen having been taken ill, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed,” a message on social media reads. “We are working on rescheduling the dates so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled shows.”

Bruce’s tour with the E Street Band is currently set to resume on Thursday, August 24 at Foxborough, MA’s Gillette Stadium, with NYC-area shows later this month at East Rutherford, NJ’s MetLife Stadium on August 30, September 1, and September 3.
