Chelsea Football Club have continued their massive clearout at the club before the 2023 summer transfer window closes.
The latest player to leave Stamford Bridge is one of its prospects in the past who has failed to live up to expectations, Callum Hudson-Odoi. Chelsea confirmed the exit of the player on its website on Friday, September 1, 2023, to another Premier League side, Nottingham Forest.
Hudson-Odoi came through the Chelsea Academy where he was highly successful and made his senior debut in an FA Cup win in 2018 aged 17, with Premier League action following soon after and his first goal arriving in the next season in a Europa League win over PAOK.
The winger was part of the Chelsea side that lifted the Champions League in 2020/21, although he was an unused substitute in Porto having come on in the FA Cup final defeat against Leicester the week before.
The England international failed to break into Chelsea’s first team in the past few years. He was on loan during the 2022/23 football season with Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen but failed to impress the German club led by Xabi Alonso.
