City Winery founder and CEO Michael Dorf is putting together a St. Patrick’s benefit show to honor the late Sinéad O’Connor and Shane MacGowan. Happening on March 20 at Carnegie Hall, 100% of net proceeds from “Sinéad & Shane” will go to PEN America, a non-profit that champions freedom of expression. Various VIP packages are on sale now, and standard tickets go on sale Monday, January 22.
Cat Power, Glen Hansard, Amanda Palmer, Dropkick Murphys, Eugene Hutz of Gogol Bordello, The Mountain Goats, Bettye Lavette, Julia Cumming of Sunflower Bean, David Gray, Kat Edmonson, and the Resistance Revival Chorus are among those performing, with more still to be announced.
