Chelsea’s quest to trim down their squad has continued as they look to have a sizeable number of players before the 2023 transfer window closes.
The Blues confirmed on their website on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, that Cesare Casadei has completed a season-long loan move to Championship side Leicester City.
The young Italian was part of the Chelsea squad that travelled to America for the pre-season Premier League summer series. Casadei had an impressive outing at the Under-20 World Cup for Italy. He won the Golden Ball and Golden Boot after scoring seven goals in seven games.
The 20-year-old joined Chelsea in the 2022 summer transfer window from Inter Milan. He was a regular for the Blues Under-21 side before leaving on loan for Reading in January 2023.
