Chelsea FC have given a fresh injury update ahead of the club’s fixture against a star-studded Unai Emery-led Aston Villa this weekend.
The Mauricio Pochettino-led Chelsea FC is looking to improve the poor run of form so far in all competitions as the Blues are currently ranked 14th on the premier league table, picking just 5 points from five games played in the 2023/2024 season.
The injury woes at the club continue to persist, as the recent update shared by Chelsea shows just how many players the Blues have lost so far. Chelsea would still be without the club’s captain, Reece James, but Pochettino in his pre-match press conference, confirmed that the club has received a huge boost in terms of players with Moises Caicedo, Noni Madueke, Marc Cucurella and Armando Broja all poised to make a return in the premier league fixture against Villa.
Chelsea still have a total of nine players out of the squad due to one reason or another, and here is the list below:
Benoit Badiashile – part of full team training for the reconditioning phase.
Armando Broja – part of full team training for the reconditioning phase.
Marcus Bettinelli – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.
Trevoh Chalobah – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.
Carney Chukwuemeka – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.
Wesley Fofana – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.
