Brazilian group CSS, aka Cansei De Ser Sexy, were favorites of the mid-’00s thanks to singles like “Let’s Make Love and Listen to Death From Above” and “Music is My Hot Hot Sex” and their super-fun live shows. The band called it quits not long after releasing their fourth album, Planta, in 2013, but have played the occasional show since, mostly in their home country. They just reunited for the first time in four years to play Primavera Sound São Paulo on Saturday and they looked and sounded like they never left. Primavera will not be their only show, either. CSS were just announced as part of the 2024 edition of Salt Lake City’s Kilby Block Party, which happens May 10-12 with LCD Soundsystem, Postal Service, Vampire Weekend, Joanna Newsom, and more. Surely they won’t come to the US and deal with the visa process without playing other shows? Stay tuned!
