So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

Ahead of their “An Evening With” show in Brooklyn tonight (11/14), Blonde Redhead have reworked Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons track “For The Damaged Coda” into “More Coda.” “We recorded it in our homes in NYC and Brooklyn for an episode of Rick & Morty,” Kazu Makino says. “Our dear friend Jamshied arranged the song for horns and strings, and played piano on it. COCO – “DO THIS RIGHT”
“Oliver got a nasty cold at the Richmond recording session and was out of commission for a few days in bed. That’s where he added verses to this chorus of Danny’s,” say Coco of this new song. “One beautiful thing about wordless, minimalistic music is that the listener is given the opportunity to dial into small details without distraction – subtle shifts in the synths and guitars in the foreground, while Maia holds down the ticking clock on drums. This is Danny’s favorite-ever vocal take of Oliver’s – and they’ve made a lot of records together over the years!” The band’s second album is out March 1 via First City Artists.

WISHY – “TOO TRUE”
The second single from Indiana songwriters Kevin Krauter and Nina Pitchkites’ debut EP as Wishy, Paradise, is “Too True.” “This song is about how my relationship with someone that I grew up idolizing had naturally shifted over the years,” Krauter says. “Part of it is a grieving lament at what was lost in that process; how growing into oneself can catalyze that shift, how people can tend to grow apart without realizing or trying, and how to forgive yourself and others for that natural process.”
