Grateful to die the branch dead company After an eight-year run that lasted from 2015 to 2023, Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, joined by John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge, decided to quit. They embarked on a farewell tour (Bill was absent; Bob Weir’s longtime collaborator Jay Lane took his place) that included performances at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Wrigley Field in Chicago, New York Citi Field and two shows in Boston. Fenway Park, Washington State Canyon Amphitheater, etc., and finally concluded a three-night hometown run at Oracle Stadium in San Francisco. The last show took place last night (July 16th) and you can check out the video and playlist for the show below.
Meanwhile, Bob Weir and his band, the Wolf Bros (who also have the Dead classic on their playlist), remain busy, and this September’s show will also include strings/brass Quintet The Wolfpack, which includes willie nelsonOutlaw Music Festival tour and appearance agricultural aid.
