Rising LA punk band Death Lens have announced Cold World, their first album for Epitaph. It’s due May 3. The band say the LP title “just seemed to fit in the days we’re living. It’s the desire to thrive in a deteriorating world, all while pushing those who feel like there is no hope and hoping to give them a second wind, a sense of hope.”
The album was produced by I Am The Avalanche/the Movielife member Brett Romnes, marking Death Lens’ first time working with a producer. “We were scared that our sound was not going to be us, but Brett was such an amazing addition to the writing process,” they say. “The goal was to find a common ground and build from that, and we did almost instantly on day one. It was beautiful.”

They already released two singles, “Vacant” and “Limousine,” and today they’ve shared the title track. It blurs their punk roots with pop sensibilities, and it comes with a video that you can check out below.
Death Lens will begin their run supporting part of the Militarie Gun, Pool Kids, and Spiritual Cramp tour on Wednesday (Jan. 31), which is followed by an LA show with Wavves, a tour with Teen Mortgage, and more. See all the dates below.
