Dent May has announced What’s for Breakfast?, his sixth album, which will be out March 29 via Carpark. It’s his first album in four years. and includes contributions from Jimmy Whispers, Pearl & The Oyster, and Jordana.
The album includes “One Call, That’s All,” which was released earlier this year, and the new single is “Coasting on Fumes,” a jangly duet with Jordana. “‘Coasting On Fumes’ is a song title that popped into my head while driving around Los Angeles on an empty tank of gas,” says Dent. “Jordana and I had been online acquaintances for a bit, and when she came into town from New York, we set up some time to write. The song title came up, and I think it hit a nerve as we were both feeling a bit burned out on the daily grind. We wrote the song in a day. The original version had only Jordana singing, but I loved it so much I had to make it a duet and steal it for my album.”

Dent May has also announced a North American tour, with East Coast dates opened by Jimmy Whispers and West Coast dates opened by Sedona. The NYC show is at Market Hotel on May 10, and tickets for all dates will be on sale soon. Check out Dent’s tour schedule below.
