DIIV have announced a North American tour in support of their upcoming album Frog in Boiling Water. The tour starts June 6 in Santa Cruz and concludes at NYC’s Brooklyn Paramount on August 7. All dates are below.
If you follow DIIV on social media, you may have seen them post an announcement that they were playing Saturday Night Live with host Fred Durst on February 26. If you thought “hey, February 26 is a Monday,” then you were a few steps ahead of most people who commented, including a bunch of fellow artists. What it actually is, is DIIV having a bit of fun with their “Brown Paper Bag” video, made to look like an SNL performance with introduction by Fred Durst, who says “It’s been a dream of mine to host SNL, especially with a band as cozy as yours.”
You can watch that, which ends with a vaguely creepy commercial for their Soul-Net website, below.
Frog in Boiling Water is out May 24 via Fantasy.
