Night 3 of Dinosaur Jr‘s seven-show run celebrating the 30th anniversary of Where You Been? had some familiar faces as special guests, including some we’ve already seen before this week. Kurt Vile, who was on hand Saturday, joined the band once again on Sunday for “Crumble” and a cover of the Stooges’ “No Fun.” Before that, indie actor and Kurt’s Big Daddy in the Sky bandmate Kevin Corrigan came out for “Tarpit,” which began Dinosaur Jr’s post-Where You Been? set, and then guitarist and Howard Stern Show producer Steve Nowicki joined for “Mountain Man” and “Feel the Pain.”
After Kurt, the band welcomed old friend Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth, who played on “Little Fury Things” before a main-set closing cover of Neil Young & Crazy Horse’s “Cortez the Killer” that had Vile onstage as well.
Duo Luluc is opening all seven shows this week. Check out photos of Night 3 by Kenneth Bachor, along with the setlist and fan-shot video, below.
Dinosaur Jr have tonight off but will finish up the run with four consecutive shows starting Tuesday (12/5). Some tickets are still available, and they’ve been releasing more on day of show.
