Dior Beauty seems to be reformulating all of their products, and the latest I’ve tried is the new Rosy Glow Blush ($40 each). Now available in six shades: Pink, Coral, Mahogany, Cherry, Berry and Mahogany. Reviews of the new formula have been mixed. After testing all the colors, here are my thoughts. I also tried the matching Addict Lip Maximizers to match each blush color. I know lip oils are Dior’s more popular lip choice these days, but I really prefer texture and color for maximizing lips.
I think the new formula performs as well as the original for most colors. Color-wise, the original 001 Pink came out as a darker, more pigmented pink on my skin, while the new 001 Pink is more of a pan with a lighter baby pink finish. I think they both have very beautiful skin. I like to use pink over other blushes for a pop of color.

Texture and finish depends on color. I really like the coral and mahogany shades. Pigments are easy to control as they mix easily and layer well for more color. Coral is a pretty peachy shade for summer, while mahogany is the perfect year-round neutral.

I find the darker bold shades really intimidating in the pan and initially thought cherry, berry and mahogany were shades I would never wear. I didn’t buy them in the first place, but in order to try something new and different, and to give you a thorough review of the recipe, I decided to order them anyway!
Cherry is a surprising blush. Applies smoothly and blends easily.

The berry color is intense and contrasts with my skin but blends well. I wouldn’t call the app seamless — it did take some work to blend in, but it’s doable.

Mahogany is a messy streak that requires a lot of mixing to even it out. Even after blending, it still looks uneven on my skin. I tried using it as an eyeshadow, but the undertone was a bit off for my olive skin.

Overall, I am very happy with the pink, coral and mahogany shades. With so many beautiful powder blush formulas coming out this season, I think there is something for everyone.
This concludes my Dior Rosy Glow Blush Review! I think they are beautiful. I don’t know I’d call them a must-have, but they perform well, are solid quality, and I think the bold colors are fun and add color to a look. The formula is really good, but in terms of color, I think I prefer Gucci or Armani powder blush this season.
Have you tried this season’s new blush? What’s your favorite formula? Or are you looking for a color from your current collection?
I bought Dior blush from Sephora. Also available at Ulta Beauty and Dior.
