After reuniting their original lineup in 2019, Swedish death metal OGs Dismember were set to visit the U.S.A. to co-headline Maryland Deathfest in 2022, but they dropped for Covid-related reasons. They’ve since been announced for the 2024 edition which happens May 23rd-26th, and now they’ve announced that they’ll play headline an MDF-presented NYC Show on August 17 at The Brooklyn Monarch, performing their 1991 debut album Like an Ever Flowing Stream in full. The NYC show lineup also includes fellow Swedish death metallers Vomitory, Danish death metal favorites Undergang, NY’s Morpheus Descends, and Yonkers tech-deathsters Malignancy; tickets are on sale now.
Dismember have no other U.S. dates scheduled at the moment, but they also play Hellfest in France in June, and Candelabrum Metal Fest in Mexico in September.
Maryland Deathfest, meanwhile, also announced the return of California Deathfest this year, happening on October 12 and 13. They’re promising “more info coming soon” and write, “this does not mean all of our previous fests are returning. CDF will return for at least this year, but that is it aside from MDF.”
