So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
DOJA CAT – “BALUT”

—
DRAKE – “SLIME YOU OUT” (ft. SZA)
More SZA: she appears on the new single from Drake’s upcoming album For All The Dogs, which is due next week. It’s a syrupy R&B song, and SZA’s verse is nothing short of showstealing.

SEXYY RED – “HELLCATS SRTS 2” (ft. LIL DURK)

PUSSY RIOT – “BAD TRIP” FT. NOVA TWINS
Argentinian producer Mykka produced Pussy Riot’s new single, which features Nova Twins. “Mykka played this beat for me and I got obsessed and begged her to give it to me,” Nadya Riot says. “It sounds menacing and dominant. I’m a big fan of Bosch so I wanted to imagine what would be my version of hell / bad trip in this track – being mansplained and totally dominated would be a version of hell for me, that’s why my verse goes: ‘Mansplain me! i don’t really know what am i doing with my life, how to be a woman, tell me how to be a wife, tell me how to kiss and tell me how to die. wanna be obedient, i wanna be your wife wife.’”

RACHEL BOBBITT – “DREAMS” (THE CRANBERRIES COVER)
Ahead of her tour with Jesse Jo Stark, Rachel Bobbitt shared a wistful new cover of The Cranberries’ classic “Dreams.” “I’ve wanted to cover ‘Dreams’ for quite some time now,” she says. “When I first made the demo, it was 2020 and I was staying at my parents place in Nova Scotia. The feeling of that slow summer surrounded by the rural landscapes of the valley worked its way into the track- I wanted it to feel like laying out in the sun with friends or a book. Stacks of vocal harmonies and a Twin Peaks inspired lead guitar remained for the final version, and I’m so excited to have been able to interpret such a beautiful song.”
—
DOGSTAR – “GLIMMER”
Dogstar, the band that has Keanu Reeves as bassist, will release their first album in 20+ years in just a few weeks and here’s another single from it. Says frontman Bret Domrose, “With ‘Glimmer,’ we wrote the music first. I kept saying something like ‘space’ and then one of the guys said, ‘glimmer.’ That word gave me the idea of only seeing someone for a moment, like a glimmer of you, you’re there and then you’re gone. I got this vision of someone being up on stage and looking out and seeing that person they loved in the audience that they’re estranged from – it’s that interaction. The lights hit them, the lights go off and they disappear into the shadows. It’s heart-wrenching.”
—
YOT CLUB & JORDANA – “SAFE HOUSE”
“Ryan [Kaiser, aka Yot Club] and I became online mutuals through Soundcloud in 2018,” Jordana says. “I was a big fan of his stuff and we talked about possibly making a song together. I ended up sending over a few guitar stems and he made the whole song pop with his awesome production. Then nearly four years later, we finally finished the song. We both love it a lot!”
—
