explosion in the sky “The End Tour” was recently announced, but there wasn’t much information on what “The End” was, but now we know. They will release a new album called end Released on 15 September via Temporary Residence Ltd, a press release promises that the title does not mean this is their last album. The band said:
Our starting point is the idea of an end—death, or the end of a friendship or relationship. Every song comes from a story, or an idea for one of us, and we all expand and create our own world. Maybe it’s in our nature, but we’ve always felt that album titles can ultimately mean more – the end of an event or period of time can mean a stop, but it can also mean a beginning, and what happens when an event ends. What happens may pale in comparison to what follows.
The first single is “TenTen Billion People,” a soaring, crescendo that finds these post-rock legends in decidedly good form and still finding new ways to move forward. Listen below.
