EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY
Explosions in the Sky have expanded their The End Tour into 2024 with dates across the Southwest and West, including San Antonio, El Paso, Tucon, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, SLC, Kansas City, Tulsa, and more.
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE
Queens of the Stone Age will be heading to Canada in April with special guests The Struts, hitting Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Kingston, Ottawa, Quebec City, Halifax and more. QOTSA are currently on a short tour of the Southwest and West Coast with Spiritualized opening.
TKAY MAIDZA
Tkay Maidza recently announced her first extensive headline North American tour, going down in February and March, including a NYC show at Racket on 2/24 (which we’re giving away tickets to). All dates:
MOVEMENTS / TIGERS JAW / WEBBED RING / PAERISH
Movements have announced another round of dates in support of this year’s Ruckus!, and they’ve lined up another great cast of openers: Tigers Jaw, Superheaven offshoot Webbed Wing, and Paerish.
REMO DRIVE
Remo Drive have shared a second new single, a light, minimal pop song “about the loneliness of moving to a new city, being the only stranger in a room full of old friends, and misconstruing bar names for human names.” They also announced a tour with Wilt, including NYC’s Brooklyn Made on April 9.
SWEET PILL
After signing to Hopeless Records in September, NJ/Philly emo band Sweet Pill have announced a new EP for the label, Starchild, due out on March 15, along with a tour that has them out with Equipment, Taking Meds and more.
STEVE POPONI TRIBUTE/BENEFIT SHOWS (HOP ALONG, ALEX G, MORE)
Last month brought the very sad news that South Jersey/Philly music scene veteran Steve Poponi suddenly passed away at age 47, and now a bunch of great bands that have worked with Steve over the years have come together to play two benefit shows in Philly to raise money for Steve’s family. The lineups include surviving members of Steve’s own band Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start with surprise guest vocalists, as well as Hop Along, Alex G, A Great Big Pile of Leaves, and Saintseneca.
DECIBEL MAG TOUR 2024
The Decibel Magazine Tour returns in 2024 for its 11th edition, celebrating the magazine’s 20th anniversary. Washington state-based black metallers Hulder headline, and the lineup also features Devil Master, Worm, and Necrofier.
RODRIGO AMARANTE
Brazilian singer-songwriter Rodrigo Amarante, who you may remember from mid-’00s band Little Joy, has a few shows lined up. He’ll play LA’s Lodge Room on December 19 as part of the Kitchen Sink Festival (with Jim James, Angel Olsen, OCS and more), and 2024 spring dates include Chicago, NYC (Joe’s Pub on March 20), and the DC area.
SXSW 2024
After announcing the initial music lineup in October, SXSW has added over 200 artists for 2024. The second wave includes Glasser, Gruff Rhys, Ho99o9, PVA, Pylon Reenactment Society, Sinkane, Sofia Kourtesis, THUS LOVE, Laura Misch, Dirt Buyer, Emily Frembgen, Rodeo Boys, Chalk, Glixen, O., and more.
LOSER’S LOUNGE TRIBUTE TO BURT BACHARACH
Joe McGinty’s Loser’s Lounge is celebrating its 30th anniversary with nine shows that pay tribute to the life and songs of Burt Bacharach at NYC’s Joe’s Pub on December 6-9 & 18 with two shows each night. “The Loser’s Lounge originally was started as a one off to celebrate artists that were ‘guilty pleasures’ or underappreciated,” says Joe. “Back in 1993, Burt Bacharach hadn’t been rediscovered by younger artists. I was surprised that the very first show had a packed house! After the success of that first Bacharach show, it made sense to do another show, and another show, and here we are thirty years later.”

Knoxville fest Big Ears has announced the daily lineups for its 2024 edition, and single-day passes are on sale. More info here.
ANNA TIJOUX
Chilean hip hop and pop veteran Ana Tijoux is set to return next month with her first album in nine years, VIDA, and now she has announced her first U.S. tour in six years for 2024.
KEVIN DEVINE
Kevin Devine will celebrate the 10th anniversaries of his two 2013 albums, Bubblegum and Bulldozer, at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on February 16 with support from Mansions. “Both records, in full, one night only, featuring first-ever performances of multiple songs from each,” he says.
RAILBIRD FEST 2024
Lexington, KY’s Railbird has announced the lineup for its 2024 edition, happening June 1 & 2 with headliners Chris Stapleton and Noah Kahan, plus Hozier, Turnpike Troubadours, Counting Crows, Lord Huron, Wynonna Judd, Dwight Yoakam and more.
