Indie rock band Palehound returns today (July 14) with their latest album, follow the bat. Leading the record with singer-songwriter El Kempner, Palehound is as personal and brilliantly cathartic as ever.

“It’s really hard for me to let go, and I’m a nostalgic person,” Kempner explained result. “The breakup really challenged this part of me and I needed to channel that anxiety into something. “
The angst is set in indie rock, ranging from explosive (“The Clutch”) to ominous (“My Evil”) to melancholy and lonely (“Fadin'”).
