this Polaris Music Awards The long list for 2023 has been whittled down to 10 shortlists that will vie for last year’s best Canadian record. Here are this year’s nominees:

- Dan Mangan – in some place
- daniel caesar – never enough
- Debbie Friday – Good luck
- Fest – public
- Gaines – mascara
- Sardis – cooler stream
- Runny Rez Kid – I’m fine, HBU?
Records removed from the long list include those by US Girls, Badge Époque Ensemble, Andy Shauf, The Dears’ Murray Lightburn, Jessie Reyez and Yoo Doo Right.
The 2023 winners will be announced at the Polaris Music Awards Ceremony on September 19 at Toronto’s Massey Hall.
