FEVER RAY
Fever Ray has announced more dates for their fall North American tour, adding November shows in Austin, Los Angeles, Denver, Portland, and Seattle ahead of Mexico City’s Corona Capital festival. Like Fever Ray’s spring tour, dates are with CHRISTEENE. They’ve also shared a new video for “North” from this year’s fantastic Radical Romantics:
CHRIS TUCKER
Chris Tucker has announced his first standup tour in over a decade. Titled “The Legend Tour 2023,” Tucker will be out this fall with 30 dates currently on the roster, including NYC’s Beacon Theatre on November 17.
THE LEMONHEADS
The Lemonheads’ sixth album, Come on Feel the Lemonheads, turns 30 in October, and the band will be celebrating with a few special shows.
TOMMY TIERNAN
Irish comedian and actor Tommy Tiernan, who you might know from Derry Girls, has announced West Coast dates for his Tomfoolery tour. Shows are in October and hit Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco.
DANZIG
The first two dates of Danzig’s tour playing his 1988 self-titled solo debut in full with Behemoth, Twin Temple, and Midnight have been pushed back to September due to a tour bus shortage.
UNEARTH / REVOCATION
Boston melodic metalcore vets Unearth and tech-death staples Revocation are teaming up for a fall tour. They’ll be joined by Entheos and High Command for the shows, which begin in late September and run through October in North America.
SIDE BY SIDE
NYHC vets Side by Side were only briefly around in the late ’80s, but their short existence left a big impact, so it’s very exciting that they’re playing a one-off hometown reunion show in December.
HARDLY STRICTLY BLUEGRASS ANNOUNCES MORE OF 2023 LINEUP
San Francisco festival Hardly Strictly Bluegrass has announced the second round of artists slated to perform at its 2023 edition, including Kurt Vile & The Violators, Lilly Hiatt, Nora Brown w/Stephanie Coleman, Lucero, The Travelin’ McCourys, Chuck Prophet & The Mission Express, Buffalo Nichols, Beth Orton, Mighty Poplar and Carrie Rodriguez. The festival, which is free, happens September 29 – October 1 in Golden Gate Park. More details and full announced lineup is here.
THE OCEAN BLUE
Alt-rock vets The Ocean Blue, who just announced the first-ever vinyl edition of their 1999 album Davy Jones’ Locker, will be on tour starting in September.
EMPIRE STATE BASTARD (BIFFY CLYRO OFFSHOOT)
Biffy Clyro offshoot Empire State Bastard, which features Slayer’s Dave Lombardo on drums, will be in NYC next month supporting Chat Pile on September 20 at Le Poisson Rouge, and while they’re here they’ve added a headlining date on September 23 at Saint Vitus Bar with Beinn.
SETH HERZOG’S SWEET
Seth Herzog’s long-running monthly comedy show, SWEET, is ending the summer with a bang on August 15 at Chelsea Music Hall. Guests include David Cross, Janeane Garofalo, Sean Patton, Nate Craig, Lucie Pohl and “A very special guest.” You’ll have to go to find out who that guest is, but given the actors/writers strike — and Herzog’s thick rolodex — it could be a good one.
FLORRY
Florry have been touring surrounding the release of their new album, The Holey Bible, and have more dates lined up in September, hitting cities along the East Coast, including a show each supporting Superchunk, Rose City Band, and @, plus a Brooklyn headline show.
