Former Chelsea midfielder, Ross Barkley has completed a move to newly promoted Premier League side, Luton Town.
The announcement was made on the official website of Luton on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Ross Barkley joins Luton on a free transfer, which is subject to international clearance. The club is looking to get him ready in time for the opening game against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, August 12, 2023.
He explained his reason for joining the club, according to him, this is the motivation for him to find his feet again.
“Why Luton? Going from the Conference to the Premier League is a great story and for me personally to be back in the Premier League, it’s great motivation. I am still relatively young and over the last couple of years I’ve not played as much as I’d have liked. But I’ve reserved a lot of energy and looked after myself, so it’s great to be here now as I’ve got a lot to show but I’m ready and feeling motivated.”
The 29-year-old will bring a lot of experience to the Luton team because of the time he spent in the Premier League before he left for Ligue 1 in France.
