gaslight carol officially announced their first new album in nine years, history books, will be released on October 27 through Thirty Tigers through their own Rich Mahogany Recordings label. We have an exclusive ‘Eye of the Tiger’ vinyl edition, available for pre-order now, limited to 500 copies. Above is a model.
The producer of this album is peter cattis (Pais, Interpol) and its just-released title track featuring one of the biggest influences on the band, bruce springsteen, as we all know, he has also played live with the band on several occasions. “I think my head exploded when Bruce Springsteen said I should write us a duet,” Brian Fallon said. “It will never get old for me that the voice of one of the world’s greatest songwriters and my heroes will forever be recorded in a song I wrote on a small wooden table in New Jersey in October.”
“None of us wanted to make a record that was really gloomy or serious to show how much we had matured,” Bryan added of the album. “We’ve all changed, grown, and learned a lot, but the overall mood is one of excitement, to get back together and make music that means something to us.”
“When your band achieves a certain level of success or popularity, that’s a gift,” he said. “It’s truly a miracle to be able to make a living from the arts. It’s an asset for the band to come this far and still find inspiration and connection in our music. We’re excited to be back and thank our fans for giving us the time to regroup.”
The album also includes the previous single “Positive Charge”. Play new songs and check out the list of artwork, track listings and upcoming tour dates below.
