Habibi are back with Dreamachine, their first album in four years and their first for Kill Rock Stars. It’s out May 31. The album was produced by Tyler Love and longtime collaborator Jay Heiselmann, and features MGMT multi-instrumentalist James Richardson.
“There’s always a desire for transcendence in our music,” says bandleader Rahil Jamalifard of the new album, “a desire to go beyond our limitations. Whether it’s spiritual or physical or emotional, it feels like this album really embodies that search for something more.”
The first single is Dreamachine‘s opening song, “On the Road,” which adds a teutonic disco groove to the band’s garagey sound. You can watch the video below.
