london pop and visual artist artist Hannah Diamond announced her first headlining show in North America. This fall, she’ll have stops in Montreal (October 13 at Bar Le Ritz PDB), New York (October 14 at the Other One), Los Angeles (October 18 at the Morocco Lounge) and San Francisco (October 20 at the Rickshaw Station). Tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, July 21 at 10am local time.
Hannah, her debut record, to reflect, released via PC Music in 2019, also just released the sparkly, upbeat pop anthem “Affirmations,” produced by David Gamson. “On this day, we were using Zoom, and my carefully placed camera angle in my bedroom unexpectedly shifted, revealing my ‘self-esteem wall,'” says Hannah. “This is a wall of affirmations that I put together when I was down and had a very negative view of myself. I decided that every day when I was stuck, I would write five nice things about myself and add them to my wall. Through the Zoom window, I realized that my wall might look like a crazy wall, so I explained what it was to Dave. He was very supportive, and after a long chat, he said, ‘Hey, affirmation’ – great song title.” Watch the lyric video below.
