The song pays homage to his mother and all the sacrifices she made along the way, with a heartwarming chorus: “Because of you, I’m fine/Because of you, I can.” made a music video that cuts between cinematic shots (it sent out a newer Geeks and Geeks atmosphere, minus Nick Andopolis’ 29-piece drum kit) and stop-motion footage.

“I came up with the idea for the improv and main chorus more than a decade ago when I was living with my parents in the Philippines,” shares Eyedress. “Lyrically, I was trying to revisit my childhood and what it was like growing up in America. I wanted to express my mom’s perspective because I spent a lot of time with my dad when she was at work. She would Doing everything from driving me to school to driving me and my friends to the mall or the skate park in my spare time.”
