Emerging alternative rock artist MagicWhatever, aka Trever Stewart, has shared a new single called “Monsters,” and swearAaron Gillespie of Aaron Gillespie adds some magic to the song.
“‘Monsters’ is by far my most personal song. It centers on my experiences growing up in a family crippled by drug addiction and untreated mental health issues,” Stewart explains. “Writing this song was my way of releasing the hurt and regaining my strength as I moved out of a life where addiction was a coping mechanism.

“Having Aaron Gillespie join me on this track is the highest honor for me,” he continued. “Discovering his band, Underoath, was a pivotal point in my growing up as a young musician. I wanted to emulate his voice until I found my own. Now back to square one, singing a song together for me Feeling so happy and proud of my teenage self.”
Meanwhile, Gillespie has of course been busy, supporting emerging and established artists alike. Over the past few years, he has appeared on shows such as Charlotte Sands’ “Out of My Head,” SeeYouSpaceCowboy’s “Intersectioning Storylines to the Same Tragedy,” and Silverstein’s “Infinite.”
