4 Festive Hairstyles to Try This Summer
fishtail braid
Braids and festival hairstyles go hand in hand, but you might want something a little more exciting than a standard French braid or braid. A fishtail braid is a great option because while it looks super complicated, it’s actually pretty easy to do yourself since it uses only two strands of hair instead of three. The easiest way to master this hairstyle is to practice with YouTube tutorials, but remember to sweep your hair to one side and use a few bobby pins to hold the ends in place.
Prize accessories
Flower crowns can be overkill for the festive season, so when it comes to adorning your festive hairstyle, think as much as possible. Inspired by Versace’s SS22 fashion show, start with brightly colored silk scarves and add fresh or silky flowers or statement accessories. Rope
Another gorgeous braid option this season is the rope braid. My friend Neil Moodie has a great YouTube tutorial on his channel that shows you how to create a really cool festive hairstyle combining Dutch braids with rope braids. A Dutch braid keeps hair more secure (and weatherproof) than a simple twisted braid, so it’s perfect for a full day of outdoor fun.
