The Illuminati Spice Girls are back with a breezy, summery new single, “Truck.”
While Sarah Tudzin may be best known for her racy, punk-inspired indie rock, on “Truck,” the Illuminati hottie mastermind hits the brakes a little over the roar of a mid-tempo acoustic guitar. As a touring musician, she spends a fair amount of time on the road, and her latest song uses interstates and cars as metaphors for life’s more psychological adventures — the ones your maps app can’t help you navigate. .
“You grow up too fast/Take your corncob show to the city/Thought there might be more to it/Turns out Hollywood is just as boring,” she sings, her voice low like she’s copying Egypt Screenplay by Liot Smith. Tuzin further explained the meaning behind the track in a press release: “If death is a bumpy, jagged highway exit, then Paradise is a truck rumbling through the unknown. “Truck” is A gentle affirmation that dreams can change without compromising dignity.” Stream “Truck” below.
The Illuminati Spice Girls’ Last Recording Is October 2021 let me do one more thing, they dropped the one-off single “Sandwich Sharer” last year. Next, Tudzin has a few dates backing the boygenius’ North American tour, and you can check out the remaining tickets here.
