Jane Weaver has announced a new album, Love In Constant Spectacle, which will be out April 5 via Fire Records. It’s her 12th and she made it with producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding) at Rockfield Studios in Wales and at Geoff Barrow’s Invada studio in Bristol.
“A lot of the album’s themes stem from interpretation and translation, observations and emotional cues,” Jane says. “I love the nuances in translation on foreign film subtitles, sometimes it’s exaggerated or more beautiful, stand-alone statements that don’t make sense but when accompanied by a visual image, we can see the scene play out.”
The first single from the album is its opening song, “Perfect Storm,” which builds off an arpeggiated synthesiser loop into the beautiful, baroque-tinged psych Weaver weaves so well. Listen to that below.
Jane Weaver will be on tour across the UK and Ireland this spring and those dates are below.
