RODRIGO Y GABRIELLA
Flamenco greats Rodrigo y Gabriela have announced 2024 North American dates, hititng cities they didn’t on the last go-round. The tour starts in Jacksonville, FL on April 17 with dates in the Southeast, Northeast and Midwest, including Kingston, NY’s Ulster PAC on May 1.
JENNY LEWIS
Jenny Lewis is taking the Joy’All Ball into 2024, with Hayden Pedigo joining on all dates, which include San Diego, Austin, Houston, Kansas City, St. Louis, Atlanta, Nashville and more.
DINOSAUR JR (DATES WITH DAS DAMEN)
Dinosaur Jr just wrapped up a seven-show Brooklyn residency where they celebrated the 30th anniversary of Where You Been, and they’ll continue celebrating in January at shows in Portland and Seattle. They’ve also got non-WYB East Coast dates with their old SST labelmates Das Damen (who recently reunited).
ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN
Echo & the Bunnymen will bring the Songs to Learn & Sing tour to North America in 2024, and they’ve just added a show in Buffalo between their Boston and Toronto shows. The NYC date is Brooklyn Steel on May 17. All dates are here.
BAD RELIGION / SOCIAL DISTORTION
Two long-running, Southern California punk powerhouses, Bad Religion and Social Distortion, have announced a co-headlining tour together for spring 2024. Social Distortion will be playing 40th anniversary sets for their 1983 debut album Mommy’s Little Monster. Support will come from The Lovebombs.
THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN
Following some recent discussion from ex-band members about whether or not The Dillinger Escape Plan would reunite, the band has now announced a one-night-only reunion show, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 1999 debut album Calculating Infinity. As teased, the show will feature founding guitarist Ben Weinman and the band’s original vocalist, Dimitri Minakakis, who sings on Calculating Infinity. The lineup will be rounded out by bassist Liam Wilson (who joined in 2000) and drummer Billy Rymer (who joined in 2008).
PUNK ROCK BOWLING 2024
Las Vegas’ punk rock party Punk Rock Bowling is back for its 24th year, happening May 24-27 at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. The 2024 headliners are Madness, Devo, and the Descendents, and you can check out the lineup here.
OUTLINE WINTER 2024
The Winter 2024 edition of Knockdown Center’s quarterly Outline series will feature Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Low’s Alan Sparhawk, Marina Herlop, and Maria BC.
KNOLL / THANTIFAXATH
Memphis grinders Knoll and Canadian experimental black metallers Thantifaxath are teaming up for a tour in February, including Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on February 8. Knoll have dates with Nightmarer after that. Knoll are releasing a new LP, As Spoken, on January 26, and Thantifaxath released their new album Hive Mind Narcosis this year.
KATHLEEN HANNA
Bikini Kill and Le Tigre co-founder Kathleen Hanna‘s new memoir, Rebel Girl: My Life as a Feminist Punk, is out on May 14 via HarperCollins imprint Ecco, and she’s announced a book tour for it.
CARINA ROUND (PUSCIFER)
Puscifer’s Carina Round will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her second solo album, The Disconnection, by playing it in full at shows in Los Angeles (The Echo on January 18 & 19) and Brooklyn (Baby’s All Right on January 28).
VOXTROT
Reunited Austin indie greats Voxtrot have announced a few late winter shows in Texas, hitting Houston, San Antonio and Dallas. They’re also on the bill for Primavera Sound Barcelona.
GUSTER
Guster say their We Also Have Eras Tour is “a big chronological journey through our music, with theatrical skits, costume changes, Guster rarities, and probably a lot of moments where we keel over laughing at ourselves for attempting something like this in our 50s.”
ORCHID
Screamo legends Orchid have added a third NYC reunion show.
CASSIE RAMONE & COLLEEN GREEN
Old friends Cassie Ramone (Vivian Girls) and Colleen Green are reviving their Christmas Songs shows — their first in years — with shows in Somerville, MA (Warehouse XI on 12/16) and Brooklyn (St. Vitus on 12/17). Cassie has also put her holiday album Christmas in Reno back on Bandcamp for the season:
EXHORDER / VIO-LENCE / DECEASED / MORTAL WOUND
It’s a triple threat of veteran thrash bands with Exhorder, Vio-lence, and Deceased, plus newer-comers Mortal Wound, who are teaming up for a 2024 tour that includes a NYC show at Brooklyn Monarch on April 6.
KUBLAI KHAN TX
Kublai Khan TX have announced their first headlining tour in four years, and they’ll take Sunami, Judiciary, and Momentum with them.
PULP
They still haven’t announced any North American shows, but Pulp continue to add 2024 tour dates, the latest of which is Helsinki’s Flow Festival which runs August 9-11 with Fred Again.., The Smile, PJ Harvey, Jessie Ware, Denzel Curry, Overmono and more to be announced.
WU-TANG CLAN
Super Bowl LVIII and Wu-Tang Clan are both headed to Las Vegas in February. Wu-Tang will begin a residency, “The Saga Continues…The Las Vegas Residency,” on Super Bowl weekend, February 9-10 at Theatre at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, and resume shows on March 22-23 at the same venue, during March Madness.
SUN RA ARKESTRA
Having just opened for Yo La Tengo, Sun Ra Arkestra — still under the direction of 99-year-old Marshall Allen — will play Queens venue TV Eye on January 17.
NOISE POP 2024 LINEUP ADDITIONS
San Francisco’s Noise Pop Festival has added more artists to their 2024 lineup, inclding Suzanne Ciani, Dehd, Alice Glass, Mount Eerie, Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier, Jacques Greene b2b Nosaj Thing, and more. Check out the full lineup:
