BTS is not only known as the top Kpop superstars but also known for their increasingly high fashion sense. Especially among the boys of BTS, the “dancing machine” j-hope is the member with the most “quality” fashion style with countless unique outfits.
BTS returned to NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for two days in a row. In the first episode, they performed their new song “Permission to Dance” and were interviewed by host Jimmy Fallon. One of these questions is for j-hope. Jimmy asked j-hope: “Is it true that you consider yourself the most fashionable member of BTS?”
After the aud̾i̾e ̾nce cheered, verifying the truth of this rumor, j-hope himself confirmed it by showing off his outfit of the day and saying, “Absolutely true!”
Whether you agree or not, there’s no denying that J-Hope has a style like no other. He is very personable and uses his fashion to express himself. Whether it’s performing, practicing dancing or simply traveling, he makes himself truly stand out with his outfits.
Here are the times when J-Hope made fans “surprised” by his unique and fancy fashion style.
1. His BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo looks
BTS’s FESTA 2021 Muster Sowoozoo for 8th anniversary, featured many iconic performances, such as the performance of “Chicken Noodle Soup”. With those performances also came some great costumes.
However, his pre-performance outfit is a perfect example of how j-hope looks stylish and easy to match any time.
2. A Butterful Getaway
For BTS’s latest special comeback stage, A Butterful Getaway, j-hope wore a colorful outfit that very few people can be confident enough to wear. He stitched two pattern pieces together and then made a Gucci mesh vase with a large tiger head on it.
3. The Denim Era of “Butter” and “Permission to Dance”
This comeback in particular shows that j-hope can not only turn things on his own, but also turn some styles that no one else can. For one of the “Butter” concept photos, we saw him in this all-denim outfit from Doublet that was altered, then paired with matte boots.
In the music video “Permission to Dance”, he also wears an all-denim suit. Likewise, his denim pants appear to have changed, and he wears them as shorts with the bottom half being essentially a leg warmer.
Suddenly, we like cowboys! He also wears wḧïẗe flared jeans with chaps in the music video.
4. FNS Music Festival 2021
j-hope’s performance outfit is even better! For the 2021 FNS Music Festival, he wore a yellow, matching “Butter” outfit, with a wḧïẗe waistcoat. His accessory is the real star of the show with Mikshimai’s candy-themed necklace, bracelet, and ring.
5. Louis Vuitton Model
There is a fact that j-hope is officially a model! As BTS is currently Louis Vuitton House Ambassadors, they also participated in the brand’s Fall-Winter 2021 Fashion Show in Seoul.
His outfits on the show are absolutely amazing, but no one could wear it better than him.
6. At the airport
j-hope has some of the most casual looks, but his airport fashion in particular is soṃệẗḧing special. Perhaps his most iconic airport outfit of all time is this all-blue outfit with accessories we’ve all wanted.
He puts together unique pieces that we don’t normally think of and looks great!
7. Melon Music Awards 2020
For his “ON” performance at the 2020 Melon Music Awards, j-hope showed off that he also made his own designer clothes as he wore a cropped version of Rich Owens‘ iridescent-effect shirt jacket.
8. His “shirtless” airport fashion
His hottest airport fashion of all time is the “topless” outfit, in which he wears a denim jacket and baggy shorts. He wore this on one of his trips to LA and a similar outfit with other shorts during his meeting and rehearsal with Becky G for “Chicken Noodle Soup.”
9. Simple but elegant
Not all of j-hope’s outfits are always colorful. He also wears simple and personal outfits as shown below. His choice of βοmβer jacket features some colorful flowers that although mostly black, still allow some of his personality to shine through.
10. The king of accessories
Likewise, he knows how to choose the best accessories to make even the most casual outfit stand out from the crowd.
11. Pattern set
Many of us are afraid to experiment with patterns, J-Hope is not. He can even make a matching “junk” patterned shirt and shorts look high-end!
