Jimin is known to the public as one of the seven potential pieces of the K-pop megastar BTS. With a pa̾s̾sion for music cherished since childhood, the talented male idol has been winning the recognition of everyone, even the most demanding au∂ιєnce. Here are the idol training directors’ proud comments about Jimin’s talent.
Recently, an interview with director Stella and director Yoon Jin of MU: Academy was spread on social networks and was quickly shared by ARMYs.
Specifically, director Stella and director Yoon Jin Hee are the leading directors and experts in the K-pop music industry. They are the ones who have been helping train idols in dance and vocals at MU: Academy for many years.
Over the years, they have produced some of the biggest stars today, including members of WINNER, Stray Kids, MONSTA X, OH MY GIRL, MOMOLAND, fromis_9, and more. Naturally, that makes them pretty good at spotting the most talented stars. In a new interview with Doyouram, the couple talked about BTS Jimin’s sкιℓℓs.
When asked which idol group these days makes he thinks, “Wow, they’re good,” Yoon Jin Hee called the name of BTS immediately. Yoon explained that while many balanced groups have members who are good at an individual sкιℓℓ, the BTS members are “really sкιℓℓed in every aspect”. She added: “The most skilled group that comes to mind is BTS. They’re definitely really skilled.”
For the particular member with the most impressive talent in BTS, Stella did not hesitate to choose Jimin! “I think Jimin, in particular, has a very special voice,” said the director. On top of that, she explained that he’s especially sкιℓℓed at singing BTS’ lyrics in a way that makes them resonate with listeners. That is, Jimin has a way of handling music in his own way and makes the au∂ιєnce remember that characteristic. Therefore, Stella said that: “He has great sense in that regard“.

For example, one of Jimin’s songs that proves his signature charm and vocal processing is the song Serendipity, which entered the UK official music charts at number twenty and stormed the US territory when it reached the top 100 singles on iTunes. This made Jimin the fifth kσrєαn artist to do this.

Discussing Jimin’s talent, Stella went on to say that Jimin knows how to “make the audience go crazy” when he looks at the camera or controls his breathing while performing – som̾e̾t̾h ̾ing every ARMY can agree on the mind.

To prove, at the end of 2020, Jimin took social media by storm with the encore performance of ‘Dynamite’ thanks to the male idol’s ability to handle vocals. Specifically, Jimin not only sang his part, but also previously took charge of the rap part of member Suga – who is temporarily absent.

Before becoming the talented artist that many people praise today, Jimin stu∂ιєd contemporary dance at Busan High School of the Arts and was a top student majoring in contemporary dance. At that time, a teacher asked him to audition at Big Hit Entertainment. When Jimin pa̾s̾sed the auditions in 2012, he transferred to kσrєα Arts High School, graduating in 2014 with an excellent degree. Jimin is currently the top valedictorian of Global Cyber University.
This is not the first time Jimin has been praised for his musical talent, previously, Kim Young Dae – music critic, member of the Voting Board for the kσrєαn Music Awards also wrote: “When BTS is regarded as a sound, Jimin’s voice is one of the most important auditory elements that make up the fingerprint and impression of the sound“.
While fans have long known Jimin as an incredibly talented person, it certainly means a lot to hear that from the staff who have a lot of experience in the K-Pop industry.
