Rapper and singer Kevin Gates just released his fourth album, Ceremony, and now he’s announced a tour in support. Dates kick off in San Francisco on March 29 and include a NYC stop at Irving Plaza on April 4.
A BOOGIE WIT DA HOODIE
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has a new album on the way this year, and he’s announced new North American shows starting in May.
KHRUANGBIN
Khruangbin‘s new album A La Sala arrives on April 5 via Dead Oceans, and they’ve now announced a North American tour supporting it. The dates surround their festival sets at Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Boston Calling, and Men I Trust, Arooj Aftab, Hermanos Gutiérez, John Carroll Kirby, and Peter Cat Recording Co. each open select shows.
ODESZA
Electronic duo ODESZA‘s last album was called The Last Goodbye, and their just-announced run of shows is called ‘The Finale.’ The band says, “Special extended set. The end of an era.” It includes shows in California, New York, Colorado and their home state of Washington. Openers vary by date and include Big Boi, Bob Moses, DRAMA, Ben Böhmer, Golden Features, and more.

Sunny Day Real Estate will be on the road celebrating 10 years of their massively influential debut album starting in March, and they’ve just added a few more shows to the run.

Los Campesinos! have announced openers for their US tour, including the impossible-to-pigeonhole emo/screamo/power pop/etc band Short Fictions on the East Coast dates and UK punks Fresh on the West Coast.

The “Up, Up, & Away…” summer tour has Andrew Bird out with Nickel Creek in July and Amadou & Mariam in August.

Mary Timony (Helium, Ex Hex) will release her new album, Untame the Tiger, on February 23 and she’ll be on tour right after that, including a NYC show at Bowery Ballroom on March 1 with Birthday Girl DC. Bad Religion and Social Distortion announced a spring co-headlining tour back in December, and now they’ve added second shows in NYC, Chicago, and Las Vegas.

Brooklyn artist Sheherazaad will release her Arooj Aftab-produced album Qsar on March 1, and she has NYC & SF shows with Hatis Noit.

Legendary DJ and producer Paul Oakenfold will celebrate 30 years of his label, Perfecto, on tour this year.
GREGORIAN
Gregorian, the German group led by Frank Peterson, who co-wrote and sang on Enigma’s 1990 Gregorian chant pop hit “Sadness,” will be packing their robes and heading to North America for a tour this spring. The tour begins in Asheville on April 4 and the NYC show is at Sony Hall on April 24.
HEART / CHEAP TRICK
After reuniting for a New Year’s Eve show in their hometown of Seattle, Heart have announced their first tour following a five-year hiatus. Like the Seattle show, the tour will find Ann and Nancy Wilson backed by Ann’s backing band Tripsitter, as well as guitarist Ryan Waters (who also played with Heart in 2019). They’ll be supported by Cheap Trick, who they also toured with in 2016, and both Heart and Cheap Trick will also separately support select dates of the Def Leppard / Journey tour.
