Kurt Weir / Rose City Band
Kurt Vile has announced dates for his fall West Coast tour, where he will perform with the Rose City Band (Riley Johnson of Moon Duo) and Farmer Dave & The Wizards of the West. There are only five shows in August, in Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Fresno, Pioneer and Monterey. Kurt will also be on tour this summer, heading to Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall on July 20 with Florry. The Rose City also has East Coast appointments.
Old 97s / Rhett Miller
Old 97’s added more tour dates to their summer/fall tour, including a show at Asbury Park (The Stone Pony on 9/24). Just before they celebrate their 30th anniversary with Drive-By Truckers and the American Aquarium on September 28th, they celebrate their 30th anniversary with a big New York show at The Rooftop at Pier 17. All dates are here. Meanwhile, frontman Rhett Miller will be on tour in July and August, including a NYC show at the City Winery on July 24th.

Clipse (aka Pusha T and No Malice) announced their first NYC show in over a decade — Genius IQ/BBQ at the Knockdown Center in August — a day after they announced another NYC show that would come sooner held.
Connor O’Malley
Comedian Conor O’Malley (The Late Show With Seth Meyers, Joe Pera Talks To You) has a number of stand-up comedy dates scheduled over the summer and autumn, including Glasgow, Belfast in July and Dublin, Atlanta in August, and two nights in Brooklyn. Bell House is held on October 5th and 6th (morning and evening shows each evening).

Indiana scream veteran Usurp Synapse originally came out in the late 90s and early 2000s and released a few splits and EPs (including a split with Jeromes Dream and Neil Perry), but in 2019 they released an EP adult adoption (very little information seems to exist), now they’ve announced their first show in almost 20 years and promise more to follow.

Toronto band PACKS will tour Geese this fall in support of their new album crunchy crunchy nothing. On Sept. 30, the tour kicked off in Brooklyn with a headlining warm-up show at Union Pool. From there they joined Geese on a trip that included Washington, D.C., Montreal, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Denver, San Diego, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle and more. Natural Information Society
Joshua Abrams’ Natural Information Society will host several shows in September, including Sept. 14 at Seattle’s Neptune Theater and Sept. 23 2023 Woodsist Festival at Accord NY. Prior to Woodsist, NIS will perform Brooklyn’s Pioneer Works on September 20th as part of the False Harmonics series with Ben Vida. Yarn/filament also plays a role.
Sid Sriram / Bon Iver
Sid Sriram has been known in the Indian music and Bollywood scene for many years, and he has recently ventured into the American indie rock scene. He just announced his Def Jam debut, and you can see him on tour this summer, including a date with Bon Iver.
Rude Reese (super furry animal)
Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys touring this fall in support of this year’s event almonds and seahorses. Most dates open on “This Is the Kit” (its new album, be careful with your breederswhich he produced), including Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis.

Brooklyn indie rocker Oneida will host a free show at the Rockaways in Caracas Arepas on July 23 with the duo of Ryan Sawyer and Steve Gunn group and DJ Heavy Flow.
