Chelsea Football Club have confirmed that Levi Colwill has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club at least until 2029.
The Englishman has been on the radar of most English clubs, most especially Brighton following his performance last season (2022/23) when he was on laon with the Seagulls. There have been uncertainty concerning his future at Chelsea because he wanted to be sure of first team football.
However, Levi Colwill decided to sign a six-year deal with the Stamford Bridge club after his meeting with Mauricio Pochettino.
He expressed his excitement on the club’s website and said it was an easy decision for him after he spoke with Poch who gave him assurances that he needed.
“It is always been an easy decision, as I have grown up, all I’ve known is Chelsea. I’ve spoken with the manager and he’s given me reassurance, that trust I needed. He’s spoken with me not just as a player but a person. It’s made a big difference.’’
Colwill signed with Chelsea as an Under-9 and progressed through the academy ranks at Cobham. He became a regular for the Under-18s during the 2019/20 campaign and featured five times for the Development Squad.
