The Manchester superduo of Liam Gallagher (Oasis) and John Squire (The Stone Roses) release their debut single, “Just Another Rainbow,” on Friday, and to tide you over for two days they’ve shared a little preview of the video on their socials. It’s only about 15 seconds, but you get the sneery chorus (“Just another rainbow dripping on my tree”) and lots of Squire’s distinctive guitarwork. You can watch that below.
Meanwhile, Liam’s brother, Noel, is back with a demo of a new High Flying Birds song, “In a Little While.” Not much more than guitar, Noel’s voice and little piano, it’s a very pretty song — could we get a new Noel album two years in a row? Listen below.
In addition to the album he’s made with Squire (details TBA), Liam will also be celebrating the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ Definitely Maybe on tour in the UK this year. No word on whether that will come to North America as well. Stay tuned.
