With his hit song ‘Like Crazy’, the lead vocalist of BTS made history as the first solo artist from South Korea to achieve the number-one spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
During the week of March 24-30, the song garnered 254,000 downloads and CD singles, as well as 10 million streams and 64,000 radio airplay audience impressions in its debut week.
After debuting as a solo artist in March with his album ‘Face’, Jimin set a new record for the highest number of first-day album sales by a Korean solo artist.
Over a million copies of his first solo album ‘ FACE’ was sold out on the very day it came out. ‘Like Crazy’ climbed the chart rapidly and took the number 1 position dropping Miley Cyrus’s song ‘Flowers’ to the second position.
Jimin is still making and breaking records in many other countries and on music platforms such as Spotify.
