Myrtle Beach’s Tourneforte are a little emo, a little indie, and a little alt-country, and their new single “Wilmer” especially leans towards that last one. “‘Wilmer’ was chosen as the final single for the record because it pays homage to our pseudo South Carolina alt-country roots, made familiar with the song ‘Growing with the Weeds,’” the band says. “With traditional country style leads, walls of harmonies, and a desperate plea to be enough for someone, ‘Wilmer’ is familiar yet new territory for the band.”
If you’re into stuff like Wednesday or Ratboys or the more Americana-leaning Sidekicks songs, it’s very worth giving this a listen too. Check it out below. Tourneforte’s new LP Notes From A Lost Dog arrives February 16 via Acrobat Unstable (pre-order).
