LIZ PHAIR
Liz Phair has added more dates to the Guyville tour with Blondshell and Kate Bollinger, including Pomona, Vegas, Tempe, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Kalamazoo, Madison, WI and Cleveland. The tour, where she’ll play Exile in Guyville in full, hits Brooklyn on November 24 at Kings Theatre.
LAURYN HILL / THE FUGEES
Lauryn Hill will celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill this fall on a US tour. She’ll co-headline the dates with the rest of The Fugees, who played their first show in 15 years in 2021, then cancelled their planned reunion tour in 2022; earlier this year they joined Lauryn at her Roots Picnic set, as well. The shows begin in October in Newark, and run through November 9 in Seattle.
SINCERE ENGINEER
Sincere Engineer announced their first headlining tour, supporting their new album Cheap Grills. Cliffdiver join them for the whole run, with Canadian Rifle also opening the October dates (including NYC’s Brooklyn Made on October 19 and Asbury Park’s Bond Street Basement on October 20) and Phony on the November dates. ROY WOODS
Rapper Roy Woods will be on tour this fall supporting album Mixed Emotions. It hits NYC at Webster Hall on December 3 at Webster Hall.
NONAME
Noname released her first album in five years, Sundial, earlier this month, and she’s now announced a tour supporting it.
SOUL GLO, ZULU, PLAYYTIME
Having just played NYC’s The Tribes of Da Moon fest at Bowery Ballroom this past weekend, Soul Glo, Zulu, and Playytime have now added a NYC show to their tour.
LETTERS TO CLEO / GIGOLO AUNTS
Letters to Cleo‘s classic 1993 debut album Aurora Gory Alice turns 30 this year, and to celebrate they’ll be playing it in full, along with other favorites, at special shows with fellow Bostonians Gigolo Aunts.
GRIDLINK
NJ grinders Gridlink, featuring members of Discordance Axis, Formless Master, Cognizant, Mortalized, and more, are releasing their first album in nine years, Coronet Juniper, next month, and they’ll play a pair of shows supporting it in NYC this fall at Saint Vitus Bar on October 27 (with Vixen Maw, Syntax, and Traic) and October 28 (with Bandit, Shock Withdrawal, and Nak’ay).
BOUNCING SOULS
The Bouncing Souls will be out on the road through December, and they’ve added a few new dates that month in their native NJ, NYC, Long Island, Philadelphia, and more. They have great support from 7Seconds, Catbite, Strike Anywhere, and Blind Adam & The Federal League lined up varying by show.
GLOBAL CITIZEN LINEUP ADDITIONS
NYC’s Global Citizen Festival has added more artists to its 2023 lineup: Anitta, D-Nice and Sofia Carson. They join Ms. Lauryn Hill, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Megan Thee Stallion and more on Central Park’s Great Lawn on September 23.
JOSEPH SHABASON
Saxophist, composer, one half of Fresh Pepper, and sometimes Destroyer live member Joseph Shabason has announced a new album, Welcome to Hell, along with a few fall tour dates, including some with Balmorhea.
