London four-piece Folly Group released their debut album, Down There!, today via So Young Records. There’s an undeniable post-punk influence on the album, with Gang of Four’s “Not Great Men” sounding like a jumping off point for them. But there’s a lot more going on here, too. In a new Alternative Press feature, the band also cite Massive Attack, Iceage, Kooly G and more as inspirations for Down There! and you can feel all of that too in these 10 songs. The band will cross the Atlantic this spring for a few North American dates. The tour kicks off in Brooklyn at Union Pool on May 8 and from there hits Montreal, Toronto, Chicago and Los Angeles. Before that, Folly Group have extensive UK and European dates lined up. Check out their schedule below.
